Culture
Part of the foundation’s mission is to further culture, in the broad sense. Art as a way of understanding the world, a cultural life that is open to all and an environment that is itself a work of art.

Art as a path to knowledge
Those who paint learn to see. Those who sing learn to listen. Those who work with clay learn that form arises in the meeting between the hand and the material.
At the seminary, artistic work was part of every programme, whether you were going to be a teacher, a grower or a social therapist. Eurythmy, painting, music and modelling were not optional extras. They belonged to the core.
That is still how we see it. Culture is not something you consume in your spare time, but something that shapes people, and therefore something that should be close at hand: in education, in care and in everyday life on site.
