Tiggarfolk och Herrskap (Beggar Folk and Gentry)

Västanå teater visits with a performance built on Selma Lagerlöf’s stories, with live music on stage.

A young woman in folk costume and a man in a waistcoat on a candlelit stage, from Västanå teater’s Tiggarfolk och Herrskap.

About the event

Leif Stinnerbom has woven together several of Selma Lagerlöf’s stories around the farm of Lövdala, modelled on her childhood home Mårbacka. The cavaliers of Ekeby, the fiddler Liljecrona and the old colonel Beerencreutz are faced with questions of kindness, meanness and what really matters in a life.

The music is written by Magnus Stinnerbom and played live. The performance is in Swedish.
